i.m bored, laying in bed and can.t sleep using phone to post. What you guys upto?

I am thinking that in order to do a fluff-fic trade for Callalili that, Maker damn it, I'm going to have to romance Zevran and I am not looking forward to it. XD

I'm just about to drag my sorry rear away from the computer so I can watch Birds of Prey on DVD. XD
I own waaaay too many TV series on DVD it is ridiculous. Especially those ones that make you go "Why do you own that?"

...Or so I'm told. I haven't actually romanced him yet, but I did manage to pick him over Alistair and have him not only be totally cool over it but also become my best friend after Wynne. Next game is gonna be a Zevran romance, mark my words! (note to self: leave Alistair at camp)

I have a problem getting Zevran's approval rating to go up. :x He's a pain in the tit. And supposedly the easiest way to get him to like you is to invite him back to the tent, but I have morallity problems with this. XD Damn Alistair and his goody-goody influence!

Ohhh well yeah, the problem with Zev is that he's certainly a materialistic hobag at first, I'll give you that. XD He really only digs them silver/gold bars aside from his two plot gifts. Everything else pretty much just nets you a "How nice... +1" response (though there was SOMETHING else that I gave him which earned me a "You have excellent taste! +4" but do you think I can remember what that was? Noooo!) My best advice to you would be to get him as early as you can and keep him in your party often so that you can benefit from him approving the choices you make. Flirt with him often, because he likes that. My city elf who was completely in love with Alistair never bedded Zevran once and he's maxed out with her, so it's totally possible for you to avoid hopping into the sack with him until he just asks you to do it himself.

I am procrastinating in a bad way. I have to deliver a speech in class tomorrow afternoon, and upload a detailed outline for it tomorrow morning, but I've yet to write it. Scratch that, I've yet to choose a topic. What am I doing? It goes like this: refresh email. refresh LJ. look around room for topic inspiration. refresh forums. refresh FFn. /facepalm. repeat.

I am a bad, bad student.

I did that scene last night too, at around two in the morning. I guess I was expecting something more...visually creepy. Like, more candles and weird symbols and things. Like we've seen in past encounters with blood magic.

Poor Alistair. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the whole thing, even though I knew it was coming.

Is the scene different if Morrigan hates the PC? She and I are friends, and clearly she knows about Alistair and the PC's "fraternizing". Obviously she doesn't like Alistair, but is willing to put that aside to forward her insane plan. Maybe she's trying to make it easier on the PC, because she is trying in her own way to reduce the blow?

Or it's exactly the same and I'm just crazy-nuts.

I expected more magic too... if only to ensure that Alistair, um, "completes" the ritual, given how badly he hates Morrigan. I swear someone online told me that Maric raped Alistair's mother, and I keep having a fic idea around Alistair thinking "Is this how my mother felt after...." But, I don't think I'd write it, because it's such a touchy subject, and I don't want to make light of it out of respect for people who have had to deal with rape in real life.

Morrigan refers to my char as a 'sister' so, no, it doesn't change either way, I don't think.

I bought the books that are written prior to the game, I'll let you know if Alistair's mom or that situation is in there at all. :/

That would certainly be an unreliable narrator, yes. I can't remember though. My brain kinda shut down during that scene, I don't remember the details.

I was also disappointed about the way Alistair reacted to my char being queen thing.

I am probably older than you, I'm sure.

My hubby is as close to Alistair as you can get IRL, minus the plate. I am very very lucky.
